In 2021 (100+ Trees)

With the collaboration of City of Roanoke Urban Forestry and other community partners, we were able to fund and plant over 100 trees on residential streets, in parks, and along the greenways!

Areas planted:

• Dale, Stewart, and Murray Avenues SE with I Heart SE

• Grandview Area and Huff Lane Park with Greater Grandview Neighborhood Watch

• South Roanoke

• Bowman Park

• Read Mountain Greenway

• Fishburn Park

In 2020 Trees Roanoke:

Despite the quarantines and economic uncertainties went on to:

• Partner with neighborhood volunteers to plant 27 trees in Southeast communities

• Assist the Tree Stewards with their first Native Restoration Project

• Collaborate with private sponsors on grouped plantings in West and Northwest Roanoke

IN 2019 Trees Roanoke:

• Helped plant nearly 100 trees across the city.

• Funded the replacement of 16 trees in Downtown & 18 trees in parks.

• Partnered with the City of Roanoke & other organizations to host the largest *Arbor Day celebration in Roanoke’s history.

*Our Arbor Day event raised more than $5,000.00 for tree planting & we received the Golden Leaf Award, presented by the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture to organizations that provide outstanding Arbor Day activities.
